Santa Ponsa is the third most popular resort amongst British tourists on Mallorca's south west coast after Magalluf and Palma Nova. It has plenty British bars scattered throughout the resort but not nearly as many as nearby Magaluf.

The attractive, sandy beach of Platja de Santa Ponsa stands in a picturesque bay in the very heart of the resort and is accessible on foot from most accommodation.
Trees at the back of the beach provide plenty welcome shade. The bay is surrounded on both sides by apartment and hotel developments. On the northern side above the rocky Platja des Castellot construction has been quite intense and high rise. On the southern side of the bay development is far more attractive thanks to most buildings being tastefully hidden amongst the pine trees.
